Waste Free for Future Generations.
The Importance of Going Waste Free

Why do we need to go waste free?
Recycling converts waste into useful products and conserves non-renewable natural resources. It also reduces the need for incineration, which gives off carbon emissions. The need for going waste free is at an all time high, as global warming becomes a more serious problem.
People in Singapore use about 1.76 billion plastic items each year. This figure includes 820 million plastic bags from supermarkets, 467 million PET bottles, and 473 million plastic disposable items like takeaway containers. Most of this plastic waste gets incinerated and put in landfills.
It is unsustainable to keep harvesting raw materials to create new products. This is why we recycle end of life plastic, and give them new life. Our 10 year goal is to go completely waste free to provide a waste free paradise for future generations.
In addition to that, Semakau Landfill, Singapore’s only landfill, receives more than 2,000 tonnes of incineration ash and non-incinerable waste daily. Semakau Landfill will run out of space by 2035 at the current rate of waste production.
With the shortage of land in Singapore, this lack of space for waste means that there may be higher chances of pollution. That is why we choose to do our part for the community and the environment – by aiming to go waste free.
At our factories, we convert end-of-life plastic waste into plastic resin, ready to be used as biodegradable plastic bags, trash bags, carriers, and custom plastic bags. Our contribution in the waste free movement may be a small step, but plays a part in reducing our carbon footprint.
