Biodegradable Bags – Recycling Process

Our Recycling Process for Biodegradable Bags
XingHe Environmental is a professional design and manufacturer of plastic bags.
We provide ready-made plastic bags from biodegradable bags, LDPE bag, HDPE bag, PP bag, trash bags, t-shirt bags, and many more.
With a focus on customer service and quality, we provide the best biodegradable bags at the most competitive prices in Singapore.
Today, XingHe Environmental is the market leader in Singapore. And while the company has integrated more sophisticated technologies, we still operate in much the same way we have from the beginning. We seek tough challenges. We focus relentlessly on quality. We don’t simply try to undercut prices based on volume – we look to find smarter, more cost-effective processes that add value, whether it’s a sophisticated medical device or an everyday consumer item.
While we’re a company built on tradition, we recognize that we’ve thrived by always looking forward. We are aggressive in our approach to business and never afraid to take calculated risk. We invest in the latest technologies and top engineering talent and because we are privately held, we answer only to our customers and each other – so we can make fast decisions that move our business and our customers forward.
To keep us on track in fulfilling our promises, we have developed a series of Environmental Health and Safety goals that span across all areas of our business.
With our research, technology and machines, we have converted end-of-life plastic waste into biodegradable and eco-friendly plastics for making clean, recycled plastic resins, effectively recycling plastic waste
XingHe Environmental’s Singapore-based plastic waste specialists have over 17 years of experience in plastic recycling and converting plastic waste to valuable resources.
We also own and operate our own biodegradable plastic bag manufacturing plant in Malaysia.
Find out how we recycle plastic to be made into biodegradable bags in this post.
Step 1: Collection
We collect plastic waste from all over Singapore to be recycled.
The collection of plastic is key for our recycling system to operate well. The more plastic suitable for recycling we can collect, the more material available to be reprocessed and made back into biodegradable plastic bags.
Step 2: Sorting
Plastics are sorted out to make sure that there are no other materials like cardboard present. This ensures that the biodegradable plastic bags made will not be contaminated.
Step 3: Baling
Baling is a process that compresses material into a block (bale) which is then secured by plastic or wire strapping. The process reduces the volume of the plastic waste, which helps take up less space during the recycling process.
Step 4: Washing and Shredding
Washing helps to remove adhesives, residual waste left in containers, food waste and labels. It is important that these are removed and the material is as clean as possible as it can affect the quality of the plastic pellets made from the recycling.
Next, we shred plastic into smaller flakes. The washed and sorted plastic is sent through shredding machines where it is ground into smaller pieces of plastic.
Step 5: Extrusion
This is the final stage of the recycling process before manufacturing the biodegradable bags. Extrusion is the process of melting down the plastic and forcing this through an extruder. The plastic is cut as it comes out of the extruder to form pellets.
